When most people hear of witchcraft, they think of a lady in a black robe with a tall black hat stirring a pot of brew full of potions. Well, the have the potion part right. Witchcraft is the brewing or making of potions. But not the way we would think.

The word witchcraft comes from the Greek word "Pharmakeia", the use or administering of drugs. To actually poison someone. This is where we get the word Pharmacy from.

Now a lot of people would probably think that this is referring to illegal drug use. And yes, illegal drugs are a major concern to everyone on this planet. We all know that. But, I believe that the scriptures referring to witchcraft are talking about all drug use. That is why I included the scripture from 2 Timothy.

God made this planet for us, and everything we need to sustain ourselves was put here along with us, including the cures and the medicine we need in times of sickness. The strongest cure for anything that ails us is prayer. But let’s face it, most people do not have the faith in God to ask him to cure us. And God knows that. That’s why he gave some people the ability to anoint us and pray in our stead. Jesus Christ himself was called on to cure the sick that didn’t have enough faith in prayer.

Satan has, from the beginning of time, always had a counter offer for a human that goes against what God has given him. The same goes with medicines. God has given cures, which come from heaven through divine intellect. Satan gives counters with intellect that comes from the flesh, from man himself through science. I didn’t always believe this way, but while trying to deceive me, Satan himself has revealed his plan for curing pain.

When I was a child, I was very accident-prone. I was breaking a bone, going through a window or falling off some piece of furniture in the house. I was always at the doctor getting some kind of treatment. One thing I don’t remember is getting a prescription every time I got sick or hurt. Now, as I’ve noticed with taking my own kids or my elderly mom to the doctor, they don’t leave without that little bottle of pills in their hands. Doctors in my youth tended to have my mom administer chicken soup, give plenty of fluids, and bed rest. I always healed fine, with no side effects. But in the last 20 years doctors have become pushers for the pharmaceutical industry. No longer are physicians trained in curing diseases with natural remedies, but they are trained in suppressing the symptoms with chemicals that have adverse side effects. Most of the side effects are worse than the diseases themselves.

Every day, I see drugs pushed in our homes by a legal drug industry. The television is bombarded all day long with ads for pills that claim to do help with everything from obesity to dry eye syndrome. All with adverse side effects. Yet, congresses, and the F.D.A., in all their infinite wisdom, have made it illegal to claim that there are herbs on this earth that actually cure. We have been made un-witting participants in witchcraft and didn’t even notice.

My mother had a mild stroke five years ago it scared us all. She had problems with her coordination, was listless, but, a while later, she started coming out of it. Then she started going to her doctor regularly. Every time she did, she had a new pill. She takes so many I don’t even count them any more. In the last five years, I have watched her quality of life totally deteriorate.

She can’t walk without stumbling over something, she doesn’t remember things, leaves the stove on, and just looks like her spirit is gone. Like a real zombie. I’ve seen drugs do this to her with my own eyes.

Now I know that some people are going to have problems believing that this is the work of Satan, but consider these facts. God would never force us to give our children any kind of chemical. But the laws of the land say we have to do just that. Every time we enroll a child in school, they have to be inoculated. Our 12-year-old daughters are getting birth control pills from these same schools. Would God force you to give your daughter a pill? Especially if it was for promiscuous sex? I bet nobody can answer yes.

Finally, I was watching the news, and there was a school back east where the parents got together and were refusing to let their kids get some new inoculation and were protesting against the school. They were all given summons to appear in court. They were told by the judge either they bring their kids in for shots or be faced with daily fines and eventually jail time. What do you do?

I think it’s time we start thinking about who we want our medicine to come from, man or God.
