The Lord works in mysterious ways. This was not the topic I had planned on writing about, because let's face it, abortion is a disgusting practice. Nobody likes to talk about it. The word itself makes me sick. But as I was sitting down studying the topic I was going to write about, I was inspired at that second to write about this. God has his own reasons for it, and I as his servent must obey.

Before I start this message, I want to clarify something. I have no right to judge anyone who participates in this act. That is not the intention here. I have met quite a few women who have participated in this ritual and eveyone of them regretted their decision to get an abortion. Some to the extent of wanting to take their own lives. That being said, there are still some evil-doers out there that love this practice, and want to see it performed more and more. My intent here is to reach those who say that it is not an evil act and that the bible does not preach against it. This message is also meant for those women who are so selfish that they think they have a right to abort a child because it's their body, or that a fetus is not yet a human. This message is to once and for all show these people that they are wrong.

Since the legalization of abortion in Roe vs. Wade, abortion has become an epidemic and an easy out for those who wanted to go have premiscuous sex and not have to worry about pregnancy. It is dangerous not only to our society as a whole, but also very dangerous for the woman it's being performed on. We've been given all kinds of reasons why abortion had to be legalized. One of the biggest being that women were going to back alleys to get the procedure from un-qualified individuals and winding up sick or dead. Who's fault was that? Not the child inside for sure. This is just another sign of the times. That we have let evil-doers lead us into shameful acts only to make us believe that we're doing them for the well-being of society. How is murder good for our well-being? Think about it. How is killing a child good for anyone except Satan and his prophets? He doesn't want any more of Gods elect down here, so he will do anything to stop them. Even killing them before they're born.

The first part of this message is directed at those women who say that they have a right to do as they please because they have a right to their own bodies. Think again! Once a woman decides to have sex with a man, she is deciding to let her egg be fertilized by that man. Knowing full well the result could be pregnancy. Once she makes that decision, and she is fertilized, her body is no longer hers alone. Her body belongs to another being. Another human who has no say for him or herself. That's when motherhood begins, and the woman has no right to think about herself only. God has made her the caretaker of another precious human being. She becomes the protector and mother of that child at that instant. And her body belongs to that child until the day of birth.

Now some are going to argue that a fetus is not a human being. But, I only have to point to one scripture in the bible to blow that theory out of the water. One scripture, and anyone who believes in God or his word will have to agree that life starts in the womb.

In the first chapter of Luke, we see the conception of John the Baptist and the conception of Jesus Christ. After the Angel visited Mary, Mary went to tell Elisabeth, who was pregnant at the time with John, the good news about her soon to be born boy king. This is what happened when Elisabeth heard: Lu 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: The babe leaped in her womb! Let me say that again. The babe leaped in her womb. John the Baptist actually heard Mary's words, and leapt for joy in the womb of his mother. No more needs to be said. The fetus was clearly alive and able to hear, understand, and feel joy. That tells us they also feel pain, sadness, happiness, etc... That means that they know what's happening when a woman takes that fateful walk into that clinic to take their lives. How can we justify this practice?

Now I want to talk about what God says in his law regarding the practice of abortion. Do you remember the Ten Commandments and where they are in the scriptures? I hope you said yes. When God gave Moses the Ten Commandments, the laws and rules didn't stop there. in Exodus 21 we read: Ex 21:22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. Ex 21:23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Ex 21:24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. Notice Ex 21:23-24. This is where the eye for an eye and tooth for tooth come in. The phrase is specifically talking about killing a baby while in the womb.

I hope I have clarified wheather abortion is right or wrong, and I hope that any man or woman who reads this will think twice about ever participating in this ritual again. Please remember that we are caretakers of these precious little ones and that we need to protect them.We as Christians have a sacred duty to stop this practice and inform the world that abortion is plain murder. Thank you for listening.

  Peace to your homes,

Pastor David L. McHaley
